The Role The Academic Curriculum Associate plays a pivotal role in bringing the belief that every student deserves access to a high-quality education to life by ensuring our instructional materials are clear, rigorous, and aligned with our mission. In this role, you'll create and review AI-generated lesson plans, assessments, and student-facing materials, ensuring they are ready for the classroom. You'll collaborate with our Academic Team to align content to our instructional priorities, all while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and a strong editorial voice. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, passionate about creating high-quality educational resources, and excited to work at the intersection of education and innovation.
Core Responsibilities: - Create and Refine Instructional Content: Edit and revise AI-generated lesson plans for clarity, academic rigor, and standards alignment, ensuring each one meets publishing-quality standards.
- Develop Student-Facing Materials: Produce student handouts, writing prompts, and graphic organizers that align with lesson objectives and are designed for classroom use and easy distribution.
- Revise and Format Assessments: Rewrite and polish writing assessments, including rubrics and exemplar responses, ensuring they are grade-appropriate, instructionally sound, and engaging for students.
- Ensure Consistency and Accuracy: Perform detailed quality checks on all content for instructional coherence, grammatical precision, and visual formatting, maintaining a consistent voice and tone across materials.
- Leverage AI Tools for Efficiency: Use AI platforms to support content creation, streamline workflows, and maintain a high output without compromising quality.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work alongside the Academic Team and School Leaders to meet project milestones, incorporate feedback, and support a unified instructional vision.
- Project Management: Balance priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high bar for quality across all deliverables.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook
Educational Background and Work Experience - Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Education, English, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
- Background in K-12 or higher education teaching and achieving strong student results
- Experience with academic content editing (particularly literacy-based materials), preferred
- Familiarity with educational publishing standards and instructional best practices, preferred
- Experience using AI to support or accelerate content creation, preferred
Compensation and Benefits: The starting salary range for the Curriculum Associate is $72,000-$88,000. Additionally, Meeting Street Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to:
