Senior International Tax Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior International Tax Manager to join our dynamic team at a leading public accounting firm. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in international tax compliance and consulting, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to navigate complex cross-border tax matters. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of relevant experience, possess a CPA license, and be bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage international tax compliance engagements for multinational clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance with tax regulations, and timely filings.
  • Provide strategic consulting and advisory services on cross-border tax matters, including tax structuring, planning, and risk management.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Assist clients in navigating U.S. international tax laws, including provisions under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), BEPS, and other global tax developments.
  • Conduct technical research and analysis on international tax issues, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credit optimization, Subpart F income, and GILTI calculations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and global affiliates to deliver seamless, integrated tax solutions for clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying additional service opportunities.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and provide insights and recommendations to clients regarding the implications for their business.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Taxation) preferred.
  • Certification: CPA license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in public accounting or external consulting, with a focus on international tax compliance and consulting.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese required.
  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. international tax regulations, cross-border tax issues, and global tax developments. Experience with tax software and tools preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and mentor teams effectively.
