Position Summary

The actuarial asset modeling position at Everlake is a critical role that involves leading the development and implementation of asset models to support financial and regulatory reporting. The role requires a thorough understanding of actuarial projections, investment strategy modeling, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enable accurate and timely asset modeling for actuarial projections including Asset Adequacy Testing, Model Based Valuation, financial plan and New Business Pricing. This role requires a highly skilled, bright, and proven actuarial professional with experience working in a high performing culture.

The candidate needs to be approachable, influential and trusted with skills in delivering sound analysis with clear communication and effective in navigating a dynamic and evolving organization.

Key Responsibilities

· As the Moody’s AXIS asset model steward, develop, maintain, and implement asset models for actuarial projections

· Oversee the preparation and review of asset model inputs, assumptions, and methods

· Stay up-to-date with the latest actuarial standards and regulations to provide guidance on their implementation

· Produce technical investment documentation support for financial and regulatory reporting, including Asset Adequacy Testing and Principles Based Reserving

· Independent research as needed to manage the actuarial model execution of emerging investment strategies

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, including processes for new reinsurance agreements or acquisitions

· Collaborate with internal teams such as investments, accounting, finance, and corporate development as well as external teams such as the company’s investment manager

Qualifications:

· Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries or near FSA

· Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience, with demonstrated experience in investments and actuarial model development

· Interest in the specialized nature of working for an insurance company backed by Private Equity investors and a wide range of asset classes

· Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

· Understanding of STAT financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Integrity and ethical leadership, promoting a culture of accountability and professionalism within the team

· Proven track record in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team

· Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and priorities

· Proficiency in actuarial software (Moody’s AXIS preferred) and MS Excel

· Chicagoland location or relocation preferred, remote options available
