Job Summary The Sr. Corporate Counsel will report to the General Counsel for JFCUSA, providing legal advice and support for JFCUSA and its affiliates. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex transaction documents, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting various legal aspects such as franchising, procurement, employment, litigation, and marketing. The candidate should have a generalist legal background with franchising experience, ideally with 5+ years of practice, including law firm and/or in-house experience with a franchisor or franchisee. The role may require travel within the U.S. and internationally. Responsibilities Negotiate and draft agreements including franchise documents, supply, distribution, and purchase agreements. Manage litigation, claims, and disputes, including enforcement of franchise agreements and intellectual property rights. Advise on franchise marketing, notices, and franchisee relationships. Provide legal counsel and training to staff at various levels. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and be responsive. Excellent communication skills across all levels of staff. Organized, reliable, proactive, and a team player. Education and Experience At least 5+ years of legal experience. Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school. Experience in law firms and/or in-house legal departments, with franchise law expertise. Additional Information This position is based in Denver, Colorado (preferred) or West Covina, California, requiring at least 3 days/week in-office. JFCUSA is committed to diversity and inclusion.
