Epic Willow Analyst

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced Epic Willow Pharmacy Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will be Epic Willow certified with a proven track record of supporting pharmacy workflows and clinical systems. This role requires a seasoned professional with 7+ years of overall Epic experience and at least 5 years specializing in Epic Willow. You’ll play a key role in optimizing medication management systems, supporting clinical staff, and enhancing patient safety through effective EHR integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and clinical stakeholders to analyze and improve medication workflows.
  • Configure and maintain Epic Willow modules, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Lead the planning and execution of build, testing, training, and go-live support for Willow-related projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and workflow issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Translate regulatory requirements and safety standards into functional system designs.
  • Support integration with third-party pharmacy automation tools and barcode medication administration systems.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations and updates.

Qualifications:

  • Epic Willow certification (Inpatient, Ambulatory, or both).
  • 7+ years of Epic systems experience, including implementation and post-live support.
  • 5+ years of focused experience in Epic Willow configuration and support.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication safety protocols, and healthcare compliance.
  • Experience collaborating with clinical, informatics, and IT teams in a hospital or health system setting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
